Realtek Audio Driver Dell Xps 13. Things I've tried:-downloaded the RealTek audio driver for my PC directly from the Dell website. I tried downloading the drivers directly - the Realtek one downloaded fine but I can't download the Waves one - Chrome says "Network error".

I tried downloading the drivers directly - the Realtek one downloaded fine but I can't download the Waves one - Chrome says "Network error". Add remove programs then removed the two entries for Realtek. Edit: fix was to uninstall the driver and used the windows update tool and the Dell driver tool to reinstall it.

Important Information: - Fixed the issue where there is no audio output when a system software device is lost.

Mostly love this laptop but some of the random things it does drives me bonkers.

At first my speakers would make a loud screeching/beep sort of noise until Windows loaded and the audio driver loaded. After installing the Realtek driver, everything seems to work again! These drivers killed all speaker based audio.
